DAY TRIPS TO INISHBOFIN

The island is five miles by three. The main activities on the island today are tourism, farming and fishing. There are several safe sandy beaches strewn with shells and with crystal clear water make swimming, snorkelling and diving a joy.  Cleggan is the point of departure for the “Island Discovery” ferry service to the island. It is only a 30 minute crossing to Inishbofin. The ferry is owned and operated by the third Island sea faring Concannon family – we are happy to assure a warm and friendly welcome on board the “Island Discovery”.

Inishbofin is situated 10km off the Northwest coast of Connemara, the island is renowned for it’s magnificent scenery, historical and archaeological features, it’s rare flora and an abundance of wildlife.
