There are numerous walks around the Renvyle Peninsula and along the Connemara Loop.  A weekly guided walk with local man Jackie Coyne is provided by the hotel for our guests.  Make sure to enquire about it.
There are also guided walks run by local based author and guide Paul Phelan.   Michael Gibbon's Connemara Walks are also nearby.  Both have knowledge of the area, combined with his intimate knowledge of the landscape means that every walk will be a treasure trove of history and information.


PADI certified Scubadive West is Ireland's most perfectly located dive centre with diving guaranteed all year round. The centre is located 15 minute from Renvyle House Hotel.


Killary Adventure is based in Leenane, about 25 minutes from Renvyle House.   Specialising in exciting outdoor activities, for beginners and experts from ages 8 to 80. Climb Ireland's highest rope course, brave the bungee jumpor explore the Killary Harbour by kayak, sail or water-ski.


A great selection of golf courses in the Connemara area including our own 9-hole (Par 3) golf course on the grounds of the hotel.


The Connemara National Park is situated 10 minutes drive from Renvyle House Hotel. It provides a unique opportunity to view the flora and fauna and boglands of Connemara at first hand.  There is a beautiful pathed walk to the top of the Diamond within the park.


Only a 12 minute drive from Renvyle House Hotel, Kylemore is the home of the Benedictine Nuns and stands at the edge of the lake surrounded by woodlands.  With beautifully restored Victorian Walled Gardens and Gothic Chapel and a great craft shop, it's really worth a visit during your stay in Connemara.


Inis Bo Finne (Island of the White Cow) lies seven miles off Galway’s coast. Daily sailings with the "Island Discovery" ferry leaving from the pier at Cleggan.
There are great morning and afternoon excusions on board Killary Cruises where you travel along the Killary Fjord and may even see a dolphin or two.
There are sea angling trips with Connemara Boat Cruises, charter boat and trips with Cat na Mara and the Brazen Hussy at Derryinver pier which is about 10 minutes from Renvyle House


Dan O'Hara's Homestead is an award winning heritage centre is situated on the N59 approximately 5 miles from Clifden.  A tourism attraction about 30 minutes drive from Renvyle House Hotel, Co. Galway. It offers a unique insight into the history and heritage of this most beautiful part of the West of Ireland.gives an insight into life in Connemara in the 19th century and the hardship endured by tenant farmers.
