Renvyle House Hotel & Resort hosted its first Wedding Showcase on Sunday 10th September where happy couples had a chance first hand to see what we have to offer for all special celebrations. The couples had a chance to meet our Wedding Co-ordinator, Ms. Lorna Flaherty, and discuss the various options Renvyle House has to offer both for banqueting and civil ceremonies. Couples were free to ramble the grounds to check out nice areas for photographs and see the extensive activities on the hotel grounds that their guests may partake in on the morning of the wedding as the Bride and Groom get ready.
We had a great number of local businesses, who we work with regularly and have received great feedback from previous wedding couples in attendance. These included Joanna from the Hair Gallery in Clifden, Pamela from Connemara Florists in Clifden, Photographer, Aoife Herriott from Tullycross and Wedding Videography by Pat & Julie Coyne. As it happens, Pat is also a DJ.
Brian Maher, a furniture designer, made a white wooden archway that was on show in the courtyard, this arch was made to fit perfectly in the door of Tullycross Church. Also at hand to speak with couple attending was Celebrant Orla Cronin from Ennis, who carries out weddings in the west. Wedding planner and designer Derek Walshe from Wedding Couture was also present to be of assistance during the day.
A sample wedding cake on show in the Dining Room was supplied by Ann Marie Smullen from Lilies & Pearls. Music was provided by Fionnuala and Richard from Connemara Weddings
Outdoors we had Cait Goaley and her horse Punch from Connemara Equestrian Escapes. The pony trap was lent to us by Joe Walsh, it has been used in the film the Quiet Man. The bicycle is also courtesy of Joe and decorated by Fiona Joyce and Lorna Flaherty of Renvyle House.
