Maria and Marcus, Bride & Groom, December 2017
"Just again wanted to express our thanks for everything during our wedding. From start to finish everything was seamless thanks to you and all the staff at Renvyle. It was everything we had hoped for and more and really exceeded our expectations. Definitely feels like a home from home now! If you could extend our gratitude to Tim, the food was spectacular and we are still getting amazing comments about it. It was such a special meal and the food the second day was equally wonderful and just what everyone needed after a hectic night. We also want to thank all of the waiting staff, bar staff and the lovely ladies who tidy the rooms who kept my dad chatting as he was waiting for me!
Finally Lorna, thank you for all of your patience and reassurance throughout all of the planning, you kept us sane and stress free as I know there were a lot of last minute changes! You were fantastic and can't thank you enough.
We hope to be back for a visit very soon.
Wishing you and everyone at Renvyle House Hotel a wonderful Christmas"
“Wedding reception at Renvyle House Hotel” July 2015
"We had a fantastic wedding reception at Renvyle House Hotel and would highly recommend it to couples looking for a special and memorable venue to celebrate their marriage. We chose Renvyle House because of it's stunning setting and surrounding scenery, intimate and relaxed atmosphere and the amazing standard of food and service. We god married in Tullycross church, a beautiful church only a few minutes drive from the hotel. Thankfully we were blessed with good weather and our guests could avail of the beautiful grounds and activities available at the hotel; golf, swimming, an organised walk and hill climbing at the nearby Connemara National Park.
The hotel staff were a pleasure to deal with, in particular our wedding co-ordinator Della, everything ran very smoothly and efficiently! Our guests were delighted with the quality of food and standard of service, as good an any top restaurant and we had 180 guests. The hotel allows a really intimate, relaxed atmosphere for a wedding and there are so many different reception rooms which our guests were delighted to wander around. We had a big crowd again for the second night, we enjoyed another wonderful meal and a 'sing-song' in the bar which ran late into the night. A massive thank you to all the hotel staff for giving us such an unforgettable weekend."

“Wonderful wedding weekend” - April 2014
5 of 5 starsReviewed 1 week ago
We travelled out to Connemara to attend the wedding of our friend's daughter and to stay for 3 nights. Just driving out to the hotel we were dazzled by the beautiful scenery and began to feel relaxed. Roughly about 200 guests from Ireland, France (sorry, Brittany!) and London were due to descend on the hotel, and you would think that this would put the staff understrain - well if it did they didn't show it. As soon as you entered reception you got that lovely smell of the peat fires. We seemed to arrive at the same time as lot of other guests, but we were quickly checked-in and in our room. Our room was in the old part of the house and was big and roomy - large bed and big bathroom (power of shower not great but adequate) with a back view out onto the ocean, the room had a lovely window seat to look out from. It was also pleasantly warm and had a nice homely feel to it - in a good way.......
The restaurant (for dinner and breakfast) is bright with lovely views out to the blue ocean. The service and food was excellent. What I found unbelievable, given the numbers, was the standard, and with a choice, of the food for the wedding reception. The staff were always very friendly and accommodating, with a calm and efficient manner. Even at breakfast the following morning everything ran smoothly. The restaurant was able to cope with big groups at tables, changing table reservations and general uncertainty as to who to expect and when. They were unflappable. The bar staff delivered excellent service at all hours and a good range of bar food was also available. There is a lovely comfortable drawing/sitting room with an conservatory in which to sit and relax. The hotel has an interesting history with an association of writers and artists and this is reflectedin various pictures and sculptures around the place. There are lots of lovely walks and activities to engage in if you have the time.
All in all this place was great, the staff and the setting, man and nature, make this a definite place to return to for a longer and more restful break. And the sun was shining too!
“Our Renvyle Wedding and Day After” - Kate & Juan, May 2013

Just back from our honeymoon and first on the ´to do´ list is to write a review of our incredible wedding at Renvyle House. After months of looking across the length and breadth of Ireland and Galicia we chose Renvyle as we come here on and off with family, friends and for time out to relax, and we knew we could bank of an amazing location and service.
We had a big bunch of family and friends coming from abroad and the aim was to showcase the Irish west coast, local seafood and other food products, and have a great couple of relaxed days.
Renvyle gave above and beyond all our expectations...and then some more. The Hotel has a relaxed but well in command approach to weddings, thanks to Cillian the coordinator. The food was excellent and got tops marks from the guests. The rooms nearly all provide breathtaking views of the 12 pins and surrounding seascapes. There is lots for the guests to do, fishing, walking tours, billiards. The local musical entertainment and céilí in the evening was the cherry on top of the cake. For a quiet getaway or to celebrate a special occasion in a magical place you can't beat Renvyle house Hotel.

Just wanted to let everyone know what a great weekend we had at Renvyle House Hotel. Myself and Paula decided to get married in Renvyle in April.
We had everything in the hotel, the ceremony and the reception and we couldn't be happier with how the weekend went. We really wanted a venue that all our guests could come to and completely relax and enjoy great food, wine and location and we were delighted how the weekend went. We had nothing but compliments from all our guests with the staff and food coming out on top every time. We just want to express out sincere thanks to everyone at the hotel for making it such a success.........just can't wait to return!!!!
“Our wedding at the Renvyle” - Tripadvisor
The months have just flown by since June and I am only getting to write this review now!
Our wedding was the 25th June 2011 and I cannot thank the Renvyle staff enough for everything they did for us. From the moment we first walked into the House after our engagement I knew that I wanted to get married there. It is such a special place, full of charm, and the food is excellent, in fact AMAZING!
The staff, Manager Ronnie, Killian and the rest of the staff could not have done enough for us. We knew we did not have to worry about anything at the Hotel for the weekend. Nothing was a problem! Most of our guests had never been to the Renvyle before and a lot of them stayed 3 nights. They are still praising it and I knew they would, it is unforgetable. It is in the most beautiful spot in Connemara so even in the rain, the scenery is beautiful.
I would highly recommend this special place to anyone, trust me, you won't be disappointed.
Wedding Couple, February 2011 - “Couldn't have asked for more!!!”
My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Renvyle House, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Nothing was too much trouble.
The staff are absolutely amazing. Ronnie was completely welcoming and is the best in the west. Cillian worked like an absolute trooper for us. Sabina and Linda were fabulous behind the scenes in helping us organise it all and Tim the chef produced an unbelievable wedding meal. And Phillip put up with our crazy antics late into the evening (and the next morning) with total grace.
The scenery is stunning. That's all I need to say about that.
If you're thinking about getting married and are considering Connemara I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Renvyle with complete conviction. And if you're having a holiday in the area, a couple of days in Renvyle will be well worth it.
