First opened as a hotel in 1883, it is spectacularly located on a 150 acre estate on the shores of the Wild Atlantic Way in Connemara, Co. Galway. The grounds include a private freshwater lake for fishing and boating, a beach, woodlands, gardens and numerous activities on site including tennis courts, croquet, outdoor heated swimming pool, outdoor hot tubs overlooking the Atlantic, kayaking and shore angling.

We were delighted to revisit Renvyle House after several years since our last visit. We were thrilled to find that Renvyle House maintains the same unique and comforting charm but also noted the subtle and tasteful upgrades that have been made to furnishings and decor as well as the very tasteful and clearly recent upgrade to our bathroom, which was to a very high standard, modern, yet complementary of the style of the old house. The additional of hot tubs with a magnificent view out to the Atlantic was very much enjoyed. We also noted the provision of kayaks and other sporting equipment for guests which we fully intend to use on a return visit with our children. The food offering did not disappoint and we were delighted to see the extremely high standard of food quality, locally sourced and fresh produce, excellent friendly service is all still present in abundance. And that Renvyle breakfast is still legendary. Thank you for a wonderful weekend stay. We will be back.

I absolutely enjoyed my recent stay at Renvyle House Hotel. From once you stepped inside the front door all the stress of the world disappeared. The staff were so efficient, helpful and kind. The food was fabulous and the surroundings were so beautiful. It was my first time to visit this hotel but I will definitely be back!
