FISHING

We have flyfishing for trout on our own private freshwater lake and are part of a marketing and cooperation with Kylemore and Culfin Fisheries who are both within a 15-minute drive of Renvyle House Hotel.

These fisheries include the following:

Rusheenduff Lake at Renvyle House Hotel, Brown Trout. and Rainbow Trout.  Season: February to October.

Kylemore Fishery: Including the Abbey Lough, Pollacappul Lough, Kylemore Lough and 4km of the Dawros river. Sea Trout and Salmon.  Fishing from Febraury to September. The highly sporting Sea trout are by law strictly catch-and–release.  State Rod Licenses may be purchased at the Fishery. A salmon may be brought home for the pot, but in the interest of conservation, we encourage subsequent salmon and those over 8lbs to be released to ensure future stocks. www.kylemorefishery.ie

The fishery offers Salmon, Sea Trout and Brown Trout fishing on two lakes and a river. Fly fishing is recommended but we also allow spinning with barbless hooks.
