Wild Atlantic Way

Renvyle House Hotel & Resort sits snuggly half way on the Wild Atlantic Way on the shores of the great Atlantic in Connemara Co. Galway.

Experience one of the wildest, most enchanting and culturally rich coastal touring routes in the world. Wherever you travel along the Wild Atlantic Way you’ll find magic, adventure, history and beauty in abundance. The 2,500km route is divided into five main sections each one offers you memories that will last a lifetime. Start exploring now.

The section taking in magical Connemara is the route from Mayo to Clare (or vice versa), taking in Killary Harbour, Derrigimlagh Bog and the Cliffs of Moher. This route is approximately 527km (327 miles). The closest airports are Shannon, Ireland West Airport Knock (IWAK) or Dublin. If you're travelling by ferry, start your adventure in Belfast or Dublin.

As a resident of the hotel all the leisure facilities on the grounds of the hotel are available for your use with our compliments. These include shore angling on our own beach at the back door, freshwater lake fly-fishing on our own private lake at the front door, tennis courts, par 3 golf course, boating, canoeing and plenty more.

There are so many interesting places to explore in this section of the Wild Atlantic Way. There are beautiful beaches locally, lovely walks from the hotel taking in areas of both historical and archaeological sites of interest. The Connemara National Park, also situated on the WAW is close by and has a range of walks and a visitor centre for you to enjoy. Also nearby is an activity centre, a scubadive centre and some lovely small villages with plenty to do.

Here, the only stress is on relaxation
