Connemara Championship Golf Links

Galway's only True Links...Connemara Championship Golf Links, is nestled between the scenic splendour of the 12 Bens mountain range and the rugged Atlantic Ocean. It is a 45 minute drive south of Renvyle House and the route passes through Clifden. It is a beautiful, isolated links course, founded in 1973 and designed by Eddie Hackett lies to the West of Clifden along the Wild Atlantic Ways signature discovery point of Derrigimla Bog and Mannin Bay Blueway. From the testing dog leg opening hole through to the breathtaking back 9, the course is a test for all levels. In 2000 an additional 9 holes were unveiled to add a further dimension to the exhilarating Connemara golfing experience.

When playing Connemara you are always mesmerised by the landscape around you, whether it's Slyne Head Lighthouse, the 12 Bens Mountains, the Atlantic Ocean or Grainne O'Malleys Castle, there is something special on every hole. The club offers fantastic facilities with a modern clubhouse bar, coffee shop and restaurant, a proshop, practise range and putting green.

If you have some extra time on your return journey to Renvyle House Hotel we'd recommend you take the Sky Road. Westport Golf Club

Westport Golf Club is one of Ireland’s finest parkland courses. A highly regarded championship venue, the Club is the three-time host of the Irish Amateur Close Championship, the Smurfit Irish PGA Championship, and the AIG Cups & Shields All-Ireland Finals. The Golf Club is situated just over an hour's drive north of Renvyle House Hotel.

Westport is scheduled to host the Cups & Shields finals in 2023 and the Amateur Irish Close Championship in 2025.

Located a 5-minute drive from Westport town, the course is set in the scenic splendour of 260 acres of undulating parklands on the shores of Clew Bay with breath-taking views of Croagh Patrick.

The club boasts floodlit driving range, a multi-hole pitching green and putting green, as well as a 9-hole pitch & putt union affiliated course.

Visitors are welcome to the Club year-round, to enjoy one of Ireland's finest Championship Golf Courses. With green fees available from €35, Westport Golf Club offers great golf at affordable prices.

The journey along Killary Fjord and along the Wild Atlantic Way back to Renvyle House is spectacular. An experience to remember, Oughterard Championship Golf Club on the shores of the idyllic Lough Corrib. The Golf Course is just over an hour's drive from Renvyle House Hotel. Enjoy the scenic views of Connemara as you play your round of Golf. It also offers visitors the very best in facilities including the spacious bar and restaurant with panoramic views of the course. Other amenities include excellent changing facilities, practice areas and a resident Professional to enhance your golfing experience.

Your return journey through the Inagh Valley and passing Kylemore Abbey is stunning on a lovely evening and will round off your day's golfing beautifully.
