Some wonderful days with excellent food and a unique atmosphere in the most beautifull spot of the world. The amazing friendly staff and the evenings beside the turffire made me feel real home. Thank you all!!

I had a wonderful yet very brief stay. The smell of the turf fires on arrival; then being able to sit and read later in the evening was a great plus. The cuisine was exceptional and the gourmet dinner was worth its weight. Renvyle's biggest asset is its personnel and I have to say they looked after me exceptionally well. Added to this Ronnie was on hand to greet people thus making the whole expereince very personal. One night is far too short so awaiting my next oppurutnity to get to Renvyle. Many thanks to all!

When you arrive in the car park at Renvyle and immediately get a whiff of the turf smoke, you just know your stay is going to be comfortable. Ours was. That turf smoke aroma came, as we later discovered, from countless fires: with the fires reflecting the warmth of the welcome and the service - with the latter as natural as, say, ... a good turf fire! Food has to get a special mention also, as it was a bowl of seafood chowder, taken many years ago to break a journey, that determined the need to come back - and to stay over for a few days. We were not disappointed. Our expectations were realised: all was well worth the wait. Many thanks to all. Cheers, Denis & Patricia Broderick

Both my wife and I really enjoyed our stay in Renvyle House in terms of accomodation, food and freindliness. The craic was great and the other guests were a pleasure to be with. We used the opportunity to tour the lovely countryside and beaches nearby. It is ideal for photography.

The hotel is comfortable and welcoming and grounds are great. The standard of food and rooms is very high. Breakfast only starts at 8.30 and while this is fine if on holiday if going to work the next day it was too late

Took my wife for a one night stay for a birthday celebration, only sorry we couldnt stay another night. Food was excellent and waiter service was the best we had come accross in a long time. for a country in recession the hotel should be proud of being able to still provide such a high standard at what was a very good price. Very cosy and warm atmosphere, had a sea view room which was nice and quiet. Would recommend for a de-stressing couple of days. Room was a good size, bathroom was a lovely connemara marble. Both said we would try adn come back before the end of the year.

Renvyle is always a pleasure to visit. Relaxed and friendly it is always difficult to tear ourselves away from its cosy nooks and crannies to view the spectacular scenery and walk along the deserted beaches. Coming back to a fabulous dinner is a brilliant reward for a bracing walk. We keep coming back.

Enjoyed very much a mid-winter break here. ALthough the weather was mild for the time of year, homely scenes (setting of turf fires early in the morning and keeping them going all day) and the smell from these fires were most welcome. Suggested local walks and ones in the National Park made a perfect day out and we returned in the evening to exciting menues which were beautifully cooked. We were very grateful to have got, without any problem, any requests we may have made, therefore we have already recommended the hotel to our friends and family. Thank you!

Recently, we have had the pleasure of our second stay at Renvyle House this year. The first was the self-induced hive of activity for our daughter's wedding, the most recent was pure chill out. This year and on all previous visits we have been meet and coddled in a "can do / will do" atmosphere that ensures the stay will be pleasant and calming, no matter the event. The wedding went off perfectly and all those practical issues that we, as serious planners, had forgotten were already in hand when we went "what about ....?" All our family and guests were blown away with Renvyle, as we were sure they would be. We really like arriving, to be met with familiarity of actually being remembered. The location, atmosphere, warm welcome, facilities, food & superb team of people will ensure that we are repeat visitors on a regular basis for a long time to come.

Checked in at six with two lovely turf fires lit in the reception. Stayed in room 9 Which could do with a good cleaning. The room had been cleaned but only very Quickly. Didn't like the fact I requested a double room and was put in to a triple Not very romantic. The restaurant was great and really enjoyed our meal Relaxing by the fire for the evening was just what we needed. Only disappointing this was the room.

I had wanted to stay in Renvyle house hotel for many years and was glad to finally get the opportunity to do so. Overall the staff were very accomodating and even cooked up specific food we gave them for our baby. I thought the hotel was very good for older children and provided alot of activities for them. I also thought the food cooked by chef Tim O'Sullivan was excellent. The only fault I could find was that I think the bedrooms could be updated particularly since it is expensive to stay there.

Returning for our 5th visit since our honeymoon in Sept 1960, to celebrate our 50th anniversary 9 months late, and staying at some excellent hotels in both the North & South of Ireland on our way, we feared that Renvyle would not live up to our memories. It did, and surpassed them! As always, the sign that we were entering a stress-free zone was indeed true. The food was excellent (thankfully not the quantities of cream of 50 years ago, when it had its own dairy!), service and staff friendly and efficient, the manager really good, mingling with and greeting everyone, which leads to guests likewise talking to each other. A great bonus was finding that the golf course had been returned to 9 holes, having been changed to 12 holes after the floods, with very unpleasant new ones for those who are holiday golfers. The Snooker Room and the Library still exist and there are books in every room, with a wide range of outdoor activities for those who want them, comfortable lounges for those who don't. The mixed weather didn't stop us doing anything we wanted and the views continue to enchant one.

This was out first time to stay at the Renvyle House Hotel. We had heard about if from friends and used the May bank holiday to try it out!. My wife sumarised it nicely "it has reopend my love for Connemara". We could not fault it. the Hotels location was tranquil, ambience very relaxing, food was excellent and room very cosy. It met all of our needs to wind down, chill and explore the beautiful countryside. (I dont normally reply to requests for feedback, but on this occasion, due to our positive experience, it is fair to do so). Thanks. Luke and Janet Carroll
