Ingredients:

 

  • 560g Wholemeal Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 55g Mix Seeds - optional (pumpkin, sunflower, sesame)
  • 445ml Buttermilk
  • 90g Black Treacle

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 175ºC (fan oven)/ 345ºF / Gas Mark 4
  • Line the baking tin with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl combine the buttermilk and treacle with a whisk.
  • Add in the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly with a fork or spatula.
  • Pour the mix into the tin(s)
